TRACKS OF THE WEEK – 7/15/2021 Edition

July 15. 2021 | By Wayne Jessup

Welcome back to another week of Tracks, kickstarted this time out by Melbourne-based Maple Glider, the project of Tori Zeitsch. “Friend” is from the new LP To Enjoy Is The Only Thing, out now on Pieater and Partisan Records.

“BLT” is a 90 second blast of joy from the Bruce Lee Band, off of the recent EP Division In The Heartland, the title track of which was a March benefit single on Asian Man Records, with proceeds going to Stop Asian Hate.

Smoke Bellow followed quite the trail from Australia to Baltimore. Ensconced there now, they’ve just signed to Trouble In Mind. “Fee Fee” is from their forthcoming LP Open For Business, due out 9/17.

Finishing up this week, Cots is Montreal’s Steph Yates. “Flowers” is the darkly evocative track that showcases the debut full-length Disturbing Body, out 8/11 via Boiled Records.
