TRACKS OF THE WEEK – 4/21/2022 Edition

April 21. 2022 | By Wayne Jessup

Chicago’s Horsegirl get this week rolling with “World of Pots and Pans” from their highly anticipated debut LP Versions Of Modern Performance, recorded at Electrical Audio, and out 6/3 on Matador. State Champs are up next with “Eventually”, from the Albany outfit’s new LP Kings Of The New Age, out 5/13 on Pure Noise Records.

Test Patterns is the project of Oakland-based Gage Bickerstaff, and “Don’t Ask Me” is the new single from the full-length Modern Font, out tomorrow on Flenderson Records. These Arms Are Snakes flew high through the 2000’s, and a new compilation of B-sides, lost tracks, and covers adds a new twist to the legend. Check out this demo of “The Blue Rose”, from Duct Tape & Shivering Crows, out last week on Suicide Squeeze Records. Don’t miss them at the Echoplex, LA on July 8th.
