Tracks of the Week – 3/28/19 Edition

March 28. 2019 | By Wayne Jessup

We’ll subtitle this edition as ‘no moss will grow on these stones,’ as some of our favorites from last year are already bouncing back with brand new music. Los Angeles’s Illuminati Hotties start the party with our new National Anthem: “I Wanna Keep Yr Dog.” Salute! Stef Chura is back with “Method Man,” previewing her new LP Midnight, due in June on Saddle Creek. Melbourne, Australia’s Tropical Fuck Storm are back on the warpath with timely jam: “The Planet of Straw Men.” Born from the ashes of Disappears, Chicago’s FACS are back with their second release, Lifelike, (out tomorrow March 29th on Trouble In Mind). Casting our eyes north for the final track, the New Brunswick duo Partner, (now Windsor, Ontario-based), have a brand new LP out on Father/Daughter Records April 5th entitled Saturday the 14th. Check out their intoxicating ode to Canadian music store “Long & McQuade.”
