TRACKS OF THE WEEK – 12/3/2020 Edition

December 03. 2020 | By Wayne Jessup

Welcome back to Tracks, kicking off with Philly band The Mary Veils, and let it be said that we’ll always have a soft spot for those that run their guitars in the red. “Carefully Carefree” is from their new LP Slacker Paint, out tomorrow on Swedish label Punk Slime.

The Portland duo of Heather Larimer and Brian Naubert have christened themselves as Corvair. They make a grand entrance with “Sunday Runner”, from their self-titled debut LP, due out 2/19/21 on Paper Walls domestically, and on WIAIWYA in the UK.

Toronto’s Kiwi Jr have come a long way since their instantly beloved Football Money earlier this year. Newly signed to Sub Pop, they’ve unleashed the title track of new LP Cooler Returns, out January 21st.

Straight outta San Jose, the Moore Family Band have dropped a new single. “Yelling Out Of Tune” is a blast of crunchy goodness from AlyssaRandy, and Dylan Moore, and features an assist from Jeff Rosenstock on organ. Their debut LP Missy comes out tomorrow on Asian Man Records.

Finishing things off, “Wouldn’t Have Guessed It” is the latest single from London quartet Fire In Her Eyes, an assured track that covers a lot of ground in five minutes, showing off their stylistic dexterity.
