TRACKS OF THE WEEK – 11/5/2020 Edition

November 05. 2020 | By Wayne Jessup

Welcome back to another week of Tracks, with the footnote that this is a Bandcamp Friday, so please note the links and feel free to use this as a springboard for your shopping explorations.

Philadelphia trio No Thank You get us started this week with “Everything or Nothing”, another killer cut from their new LP Embroidered Foliage, released a few weeks back on Lame-O Records.

With her day job as a psychotherapist providing plenty of grist for the mill, “Cold” is a stunning salvo from Laura Fell’s debut LP, Safe From Me, out 11/20 on Balloon Machine Records.

Maggie Gently continues her journey on from The Total Bettys, following up her debut EP Good Cry with new single “Where My Time Went”, out now on Common Ground Collective. You can also view a luminous take kicking off her just-released Twin Peaks Session.

While Miranda Winters may be known best as an integral link in Chicago’s Melkbelly, she offers an equally powerful solo vision on All Purpose, her October single on Exploding In Sound Records. “Little Baby Dead Bird” is our cut of choice.

Bringing this installment to a close, Montreal’s Gulfer is back with “Nature Kids”, from their new self-titled LP, released last month on Topshelf Records/Royal Mountain Records.
