Starting out the new year here at the Nest with a pair from the Bay Area. Oakland’s Emily Jane White is riding high on her most recent release, Immanent Fire, out now on French label Talitres. Local photographer Kristin Cofer shot the video for the haunting “Washed Away”. Emily Jane White kicks off 2020 on tour in Europe through February.

Petaluma-based Tsunami Bomb is back in business with The Spine That Binds, their first LP in 15 years, released in November on Alternative Tentacles. Check out “Naysayers”, and keep an eye out for upcoming dates, including Slide Bar Rock-n-Roll Kitchen, Fullerton, CA 1/23 and Viper Room in West Hollywood on 1/24.

Moving down to LA,  “Song #1” is from the new Gal Pal EP Unrest/Unfeeling. Catch the trio’s magic live at Zebulon, LA 1/19. Edmonton, Alberta’s No Museums finish off the year in style with new LP Moths, following up their May release The Artifact Is Nothing. “A Rotten Summer” is our track of choice. Finishing up this week, it’s “Turn To Glass” from Portland’s Mope Grooves. Desire is their most recent release.
