HEAR THIS: The Wild Kindness

They are fuzzy and synthy, but their vocals aren’t lost. Wild Kindness is enjoyable in its ability to dodge the stereotypes of their garage-pop genre. They’ve got the raw energy of rock and the fuzzy reverb of garage, but the earnest delivery of their lyrics puts their style on the fence. When we’re not trying to “analyze” their sound, we more than enjoy just kicking back and downright grooving to it. We think you will too. “My heart is not my own, it’s permanently out on loan,” sings vocalist Mike Alexis in a voice tainted with sincerity. Alexis’ heart isn’t the only one out on loan…they’ve taken ours too.
