HEAR THIS: Knocking Ghost

June 26. 2013 | By Jennifer Shields

Synth pop, new wave, electro pop, euro pop….call it what you want, but Knocking Ghost has polished the post-punk model. After all, they should know a thing or two about it. Only after mixing bands like Bastille and Erasure did they start working on their own music. The experience pays off and we get to enjoy the fruits of their talent and labor.

Their latest EP Distractions was released early this year and takes us back to our very best memories of the late ’80s and early ’90s. It’s a nice twist of current on the tried and true sounds that have stood the test of time. They just wrapped up a handful of shows in London, but they should be on tour again soon, so keep a close eye on ’em.
