PREVIEW: Tic Tic Boom! Lot 1 Cafe Residency

April 26. 2012 | By Bryan Wallace

All bands want to make it in this exceedingly cluttered rock scene of Los Angeles. The one constructive impact of this artist saturation is that it calls for determination and drive. Now, who has it? It sure as hell isn’t that band that peruses their Netflix instant stream five nights a week. It’s the ones who put in the time, the ones who put all their eggs in the basket. It’s bands like electro-rockers Tic Tic Boom! that them lazy-bones bands should look to.

Founders Mike DeLay and Leilani Francisco thoughtfully and independently concoct every aspect of not only their music, but also their merchandise and music videos. In the past year, Tic Tic Boom! has performed their synth-pop hearts out. We at The Owl Mag are very proud to present DeLay and Francisco at their residency during the month of May at Echo Park’s Lot 1 Café.

The residency will be in support of their new EP, Before the Sun Rises, their third self-release in four years. The residency and good vibes commence on Wednesday, May 2nd. For a radiant preview of what’s to come at Lot 1, view Tic Tic Boom!’s latest video below:
