HEAR THIS: The She’s

November 21. 2012 | By Claire Wohlers

The She’s may or may not believe in love at first sight, but we sure do believe in love at first listen. The She’s are a quartet born and bred in San Francisco, and it’s clear that growing up on the California coast has influenced their musical style. Their surf pop, Beach Boys-like sound is epitomized by their guitar riffs while their effortless, picture perfect harmonies are suggestive of some of our favorite ’60s girl groups. Their writing and arrangements are excellent, not to mention their unbearably catchy hooks.

It’s obvious that we’re not the only ones stoked on them either. They play locally pretty often, opening for bands like Girls, La Sera, and The Morning Benders, to name just a few. Check them out below and be sure to catch them around SF!
