You can knit all kinds of things: a sweater, a blanket, even a pair of socks if you’re dedicated. What garage rockers The Knitts have created with their oeuvre, however, is a feeling. In the Los Angeles five-piece’s brash, hooky gems, you’ll find the energy, passion, and fun of your misspent youth.

The band’s name was inspired by the late Hollywood rock club The Knitting Factory, where guitarist Charlie Volkins used to work the box office. Now, Charlie, his brother Justin, and the rest of the gang are crafting the soundtrack to late nights and bad decisions. As they prep their full-length debut, be sure to give them a listen, and catch them live, including at the Desert Daze festival in Joshua Tree this October.
