Mississippi’s Talbot Adams has been making music for nearly two decades, dating back to his days with garage rock bands including The Pendletons, The Dutch Masters, and Jenny Jeans. After taking a few years off for the birth of his twins, he began making music again in 2010, this time as a solo act.

To quote his tune “Looking Back,” from 2014’s Talbot Adams LP, “now he’s more reserved, laid back, and laconic.” His latest release, The “Green Girl/ I Love You So” single, is among his best work yet, a chunk of psych-folk that’s lush, shoegazy, and, darn it, gorgeous. Talbot plays all instruments on both tracks, including huge, jangly guitars that’ll give you chills. Be sure to add these tracks to your Summer playlist.
