San Francisco’s NRVS LVRS do have a lot to be nervous about. Each of this new wave group’s songs are enveloped in the overwhelming sensation that the world is moving at dizzying, nerve-wracking speeds. Their new track “Sundowning” grasps the throttle of life, not through its tempo, but with its dazed vocals and guitars that feel like clashing lights bouncing against each other. “City Lights” captured the twinkly, tired nightlife; “Black Diamond” showed its curiosity and awe for the morning sky through its electronics. “Sundowning” appropriately finds itself in the middle, looking at life as the sun says goodbye. The band will be having a release show on 6/30 at Starline Social Club in Oakland.
