HEAR THIS: Mist Giant

June 04. 2012 | By Asha Omelian

Imagine a warehouse with distorted psychedelic rock sounds filling the space. Electro-industrial post-rock band Mist Giant paint a similar picture with their music as they take listeners on a journey into the sound of the distinct San Francisco rock culture. No two songs on their newest album Glass Walls sound the same, but at its core, the distorted guitar rhythm, entrancing vocals, and powerful music make up the sound that is Mist Giant. “D-Loop” is a must hear; the strong guitar riffs are matched by a tranquil piano melody and soft, almost haunting vocals. “Tuff Luvv” is equally worthy of praise and is a song that can be played on repeat without boring listeners. We suggest that you give Mist Giant a try for a musical experience that will never be forgotten.
