Debut single & video “Central Park” from New York indie-pop collective CON VOS is new ground for Irish-born acoustic folk-y singer-songwriter Sorcha Richardsonas she takes a turn into the electronic, teaming up with duo Fortunate Ones to create the catchy disco-funk synth-laden remix-ready hell of a dance track.

The track is unbelievably slick and the group’s brand new EP Cocoon Bloom sticks to the same electronic dance-pop vibe. “Daymare” sees Richardson’s voice lift the music to a more ethereal harmonic level on top of a tinkling synth beat; “Coast” has a similar feel but with more effects and echoes built into a track that builds on an underlying hip-hop beat. What makes Con Vos unique is the both playful and elegant blend of Sorcha Richardson’s haunting voice and the flawlessly produced, tight, smooth and dance-worthy pop-meets-hip-hop tunes that back her up.
