Chattanooga born Armon Jay traveled to Willamette Mountain in American Fork, Utah to create an album that has a perfect southern charm, complete with the subtle lyrical drawl and loud strumming steel strings. The titular track is sun baked struggle, “I ain’t fallen behind I ain’t looking ahead, everything is different but nothing is changed,” but like every southern story there is redemption. Armon croons at the conclusion of the track “I will wait for you.” The new album is a catharsis with the ending result a full bucket of hope. There’s a little bit of Joshua James, the wit, the soulful vocals, and then Armon Jay adds the bottomless charm.
