The glitchy house of French duo Justice shines with an electro brilliance that is all their own – as we would expect of the beats geniuses behind the Cross LP. High expectations can certainly be an artist’s undoing, but on their most recent Helix EP, released through Ed Banger Records, Justice meets the task head-on and with gusto.

The title track is an extended version of a track off 2011’s Audio, Video, Disco, and features vocal samples that are familiar but re-imagined. Industrial-strength dub flavors Domenico Torti’s remix of the title track, kicking the original’s disco into turbo. New track “Presence” is reminiscent of the Cross LP, and yet it’s difficult to put a finger on which part precisely. If you’ll excuse the pun, it’s the Justice je ne sais quoi.

Justice proves that everything old really is new again, and their infectious electro is always welcome.
