ayer accompanying her various keyboards and no less then three different microphones. While Artemis utilized a stand-up bass player combined with a percussionist using just electronic pads that, at times, appeared to be getting sounds from a phone…or maybe he was just checking his messages?

Artemis played a set of mostly new music. There were a couple of songs from her just released album Sephyra that is filled with downtempo and dream pop songs. Artemis grounded us to the earth before Kim would fly us into space, especially when playing a new song called “Supernova.” With all the new music Artemis played, maybe there’s another album in the works? We’ll have to wait and see what she comes up with. You can check out the video for “Down by the River,” a song from her Sephya album here.

Kim Boekbinder split her set into music from her first release, The Impossible Girl, and from her upcoming release, The Sky is Calling (out March 2013.) With songs like “Sex, Drugs, & Nuclear Physics” or “Rainbows and Unicorns,” we haven’t a clue what genre you put her music in so we’ll just let you decide that. Kim had some really cool space-themed projections going on during the “space” section of her set and some of her music from The Sky is Calling has even incorporated data from NASA as rhythm tracks. According to Kim, there are no love songs on The Sky is Calling, so you’re going to have to look for love down here on planet Earth.
