FREE TICKETS: Beach Fossils, Catwalk, Permanent Collection @ Slim’s, SF 5/14/12

May 08. 2012 | By Collin Welbon

There’s nothing quite like a day on the beach and feeling the breeze that only seems to exist when near the ocean. On Monday, May 14th, Brooklyn-based, indie rock band Beach Fossils will be creating that breeze with their airy and sometimes swirling guitar sound at Slim’s in San Francisco. Frontman and Beach Fossils creator, Dustin Payseur, has stated that his influences range from Ravi Shankur and Rumi to Don Cherry. There is something to be said about that broad of a scope of influences, and Payseur and his music will soon be enlightening us all on their influence on his creative processes.

SoCal band Catwalk and San Francisco’s Permanent Collection will also be bringing their breezy, shoegaze indie rock to Slim’s, and we have a pair of tickets to give away. For your chance to win a FREE pair of tickets, leave us a comment about what you would like in your permanent collection. Contest ends on 05/11/12.
