Royal Headache
[What’s Your Rupture]

The opening strum of this album simply blasts you straight into a fast, short, sharp, punk extended instrumental intro into track 1 “Never Again,” setting the pace. That simple formula has been tried and tested, and a big reason why it has stood the test of time, it works. Track 3 “Surprise,” is the money song, tainted with a bit of a pop twist but still very solid. The Smiths, The Clash, The Jam and The Beatles lend their inspiration throughout the album. Fresh punk, bring it on, that distinct essence born from the British with the attitude of the Aussies…and you’ve got yourself a Royal Headache.

Then they move into a Beatles meets the Psychedelic Furs. The album takes you on a ride til track 10 “Wilson Street,”, (instrumental) with rolling smooth guitar, very simple, and a perfect addition to the lineup. “Honey Joy” is quite a sweet track, then we finish off with fast pace “Pity,” the same style as the start of the album.
