San Francisco indie surf-pop darlings A B & The Sea headlined the Great American Music Hall last Thursday, kicking off a West Coast tour in support of their first LP, Constant Vacation. The band had taken the opportunity to upgrade their live show in the several months they’d spent away from the bay area, and the result was electrifying: a display of talent and command of the stage far beyond what this up-and-coming group had presented in the past. Vocalist, Koley O’Brien wowed the crowd with snazzy, mature new vocal stylings on Constant Vacation’s impressive new tunes, and the band’s increased confidence and energy onstage was infectious. A magical night.
