PICTURE THIS: Meiko + Bobby Long @ The Independent, SF 9/27/12

Meiko turned the Independent into an intimate club, lit with candles for her stop in San Francisco.

Bobby Long an intense singer/songwriter who started out the night. He sang songs about girlfriends past and present, with “Anytime”  being the clear standout.

Meiko and her band played music from her self-titled release Meiko and her new album, The Bright Side, including “Hawaii,” “Leave The Lights On,” and “Good Looking Loser.” Meiko did talk about where the song “You & Onions Make Me Cry” (the hot dog song) came from (we won’t spill the beans, you’re going to have to catch a show to here that story). Her chatting and playing music made the night seem like you were just hanging out at a friend’s house listening to some great music, and the house of Meiko is a lively one.
