Kristina Esfandiari continues her balancing act, ably shifting between her projects Miserable and King Woman, with focus now currently falling on the latter. King Woman’s brand new LP, Created In The Image Of Suffering, is out now on Relapse. Not a beat is missed as the followup to their Doubt EP, (an Owl Mag Nest favorite), is bigger and badder in every respect, conjuring up what can only be called ‘The Sound Of Doom.’ “Deny” is a perfect place to start, and more listens reveal a depth of hooks blossoming, (“Shame” and “Hierophant”).

For all its glory, their recorded output is but a teaser for the King Woman live experience, and you can catch them through March on the East Coast and South, before they head to Europe in April, including several dream bill dates in the UK with Chelsea Wolfe.
