In the wake of Norah Jones’s demographic-defying conquest of the airwaves, adult contemporary is making its move. San Francisco resident Austin Willacy puts his ethereal voice and eclectic songwriting to good use here. The album is polished to the point of blandness, but if you’re looking to throw something on and relax, you could do a lot worse than songs like the flamenco-inspired “What I’m Trying to Say.” Page 7 grooves, weeps, and soars. And let’s face it: Anyone who has performed with Ray Charles, Run DMC, and Crosby, Stills, and Nash deserves some props.

The first concert I remember is Tiffany at the Concord Pavilion. Seriously.
